WHAT IS AXIS

AXIS is a lightweight protocol for communicating clearly with AI systems.
It uses a small set of symbolic operators — glyphs — to mark the intent
and structure of what you're saying.

When you use an AXIS glyph, you are not just writing words.
You are signaling something about the *type* of statement you're making:
a transfer, a question, a concrete next step.

This makes your meaning explicit — to the AI, and to yourself.

WHY IT MATTERS

Most communication with AI is informal, unstructured, and
context-dependent. This leads to drift: the AI misreads intent,
conflates types of statements, and produces outputs that miss
what you actually wanted.

AXIS addresses this at the source. Not by changing the AI —
by sharpening the signal you send it.

THE FOUR CORE OPERATORS

Start here. These four cover the basic cycle of any exchange.

        Open the AXIS field for this exchange.
        Use at the start of any session where you want the
        protocol active.

        Hand something across into the field — for consideration,

        Not a plan, not a list — one step.
        Use when you want the exchange to advance by a single,
